LOL: Audi RS6 beats the impressive Bentley Continental Supersports ice speed record

When Bentley recently broke their own ice record, they positioned it as a significant achievement, no doubt justifying spending $250K on a car, or thereabouts. The new Audi record-holder must cause some discomfort in Crew, Engalnd.

I'm heading off to the Bentley web site to see if they've removed references to them being the new record holder.

A few observations... The Audi has both mirrors removed...the Bently only had the driver's side removed. The Bently has a fabric top, no doubt creating more friction than the Audi's steel roof...The Bently I'm sure is heavier than the Audi. I think this says alot about the Bently's achievment. While they may not have the record anymore...I quite sure they can achieve a higher top speed by addressing all of the handicaps I mentioned.

Oops..correction...both mirrors were removed from the Bently :-)

I'm not sure what your point is. Bentley's quarter million dollar car used to be the record holder, and it was bested by a car costing a good deal less than half that. I think this says a lot for Audi, IMNSHO.

Just waiting for the BMW Perfect drivers to comment about how a RWD vehicle would be easily able to do the same speeds on the same icy surface as long as they are equipped with Snow Tyres.

Common then..... LETS HEAR IT.
