RENDERED SPECULATION: The Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe Gets The Black Series Treatment

RENDERED SPECULATION: The Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe Gets The Black Series Treatment
Even though we have yet to see images of the all-new Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe, it did make a very small appearance in this year's Super Bowl commercial. Mercedes played it cool and kept the car on the very end of the line to make sure no one had the chance to get a detailed looked.

And given the rumors circulating the 'net about a possible C63 AMG Coupe Black Series, this must have inspired the very talented artist Wild Speed to chalk up his expectations. Sporting some blistered fender flares and a more aggressive front and rear valence, it definitely looks as a Black should.

Any thoughts, Spies?

We have all seen the black series in testing and every indication is that it will be coming. Our designer Wild-Speed gave us his take on the upcoming black series which we certainly do like. He did both the front and back to give a complete view. The rear in particular being a aggressive with the diffuser and quad AMG-style pipes. The question becomes, will this get the 5.5 liter twin turbo motor or a higher tuned version of the 6.2 liter M156 V8? If it does get the 5.5 liter turbo V8 as has been reported, game over...

I'd consider it. But it really does sort of resemble a Honda-Accord coupe.

@LexSucks

What are you referring to that resembles the Accord?

The roofline and C-Pillar?

I think it's been a month now since pictures of the C coupe have been released and I've seen a lot of criticism about its C-pillar being similar to the Accord Coupe and I tend to agree. Having said that, I doubt anyone would mistaken this for the Accord Coupe, whether from an observation standpoint or from a purchasing decision standpoint. I think the car's entire appearance, proportion, stance, etc. does set it apart in a nice way, solid and sporting.

I agree with you on all points.

Additionally, it does have a similar C-Pillar, however, let's not be foolish. If they build an AMG Black, the last thing you'll care about is the C-Pillar when you hear the V8 fire up.
