VIDEO: You Have To See It To Believe It, The Ford Mustang Boss 302 On Laguna Seca
Though it can be argued that the Ford Mustang has more variants than the Porsche 911 -- which is a little ridiculous -- the new Boss 302, particularly the Laguna Seca version, is actually deserving of its own trim. You may agree after watching the latest video.

And even if you're too snobby to see past the Blue Oval, maybe, just maybe, this video will change your mind.

You've gotta see it to believe it.

Admittedly so, this was filmed at the Ford Mustang Boss vehicle launch at Laguna Seca. So, we'll just have to wait until some independent adjudicators have a proper crack at all the vehicles involved outside of a staged event.

We hit Laguna Seca in Ford's track ready beast, the Mustang Boss 302. Just how fast is it around the legendary Northern California track? The results might surprise you.

this is a video of a guy going around a track. not at all obvious he's going particularly fast and the corners illustrate a front-heavy lack of balance. very bogus title to this entry

What a fantastic accomplishment for Ford, and with a solid rear axle, wow. Finally an American car company representing American automotive engineering.

Apparently, it's also faster than a first gen GT-R at Laguna Seca. More impressive than beating an M3.

Not sure how though.

I have to praise Ford and give credit where it is due. I would still have the M3 if it were my money. It is far better built, but I will not knock the mustang at all because the performance does speak for itself, and it is a marvel in itself that they actually got a live axle car to go that fast, but then again, the big V8 on the straights heavily contributes to this.

I don't see it beating an R8. The test was probably done with different drivers under different conditions. How does it beat the GT500 by 4 seconds? It is still impressive for a RWD muscle car though. Can't argue with that.

Will probably increase its value as a "vintage" classic 30 years from now.
