NEW and OLD Photos Of The 2012 BMW 650i Coupe, Can It Compete With Its Elders?
If there is one thing that BMW is known for and infamously good at, it's producing awesome coupes. If you need more proof, just take a look at the photos down below.

Need I say more?

Only yesterday, BMW announced the OFFICIAL details on the 2012 650i coupe, which will be arriving at your local showroom this fall. Although when you take a look at all of the previous iterations, you have to wonder: is the 2012 6-Series good enough to fulfill Bimmerphiles' expectations?

Think about it. The legendary 3.0CSL or how about the first-generation 6-Series, which coined the term "shark-faced" styling.

With that said, will the latest and greatest 6-Series become a piece lovingly displayed or will it become the red-headed step child of the line? For example, not many Porschephiles embrace the 996.

With it's Origami front end and weak rear end it seems like this 6 series is catering more to the older Jag XK/yacht club crowd than anything else.

But that interior rivals an Aston's.......

"Origami" is the Japanese folded paper art. Y'know, like when you make a pony from folded paper? So "origami" styling in a car is typified by sharp edges and large flat surfaces, like a paper sculpture. Like the Cadillac CTS. This 6 has no origami in it.

I still think that Bangle's 6'er has better poise. And the rear end on the new one reminds me somewhat of a Buick Lucerne from a distance.

I've seen it in person. Not a stud or a dud. Innofensive, okay-looking exterior. Very fashionable interior. I suspect BMW FanBoiz will praise this at the best things since sliced bread (except, of course, for the M3).

I am really digging the coupe in grey.
The new 6 should be a hit.

I think this is the best looking BMW ever.

Love the new design. I can't wait to see what the M division does with the 6.

I am not so thrilled. Too long of an overhang in the front and the nose is weak/inoffensive, they should have taken the nose from the cs coupe concept.. Really need to redo the lower air intake area as well. Interior is nice but the center console is too bulky.
