Kia has issued a recall of about 70,000 Optima sedans
Due to the risk of a roll-away crash when the automatic transmission remains in gear after being shifted to park, Kia has issued a recall of about 70,000 Optima sedans from model years 2006 through 2008. Kia informed the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration that a cable connected to the Optima's shifter assembly may not have been installed correctly and may become detached.
