I bet it will be another SC, seriously what are those 2 seats in the back meant for anyways?

Why is Lexus taking so long to develop the coupe and convertible?

Surely it has the profits and resources to get it to market faster?

Will the SC430 be dropped when the IS convertible is introduced?

i see your point but they will be COMPLETELY different cars:

- Solara. chick car. "sport model" is a whopping 210hp V6 - the 3.3 at that - mated to a 5-speed "sequential" automatic. FWD. typical driver: woman in 40's probably.

- IS350 Cabrio. consider it a second generation Altezza COUPE. nuff said.

putting the IS350 Coupe and the Solara in the same class is very degrading to the IS. i love my Toyotas and the solara but facts are facts. it may look like sport with the fancy underskirts, spoilers, and BBS wheels but you would need to spend at LEAST an extra ten grand at the factory (TRD)to get CLOSE to the performance of the IS out of a Solara. and STILL you just have a fast FWD chick car with a smoothe-ass ride.

e--s--f-: SC owners are Solara types with more money to answer your question. it's another chick car now cause it lost it's "Soarer" appeal with the '02 redesign. IS coupe owners today prob would have bought a SC300 in the 90's.

i just hope Lexus doesn't continue to not offer a manual on the 350 or whatever their biggest engine will be by then.
