Porsche introduces second version of 911 GT3 R Hybrid racer

A further developed version of the Porsche 911 GT3 R Hybrid will take on the Nürburgring 24 hour race on June 25. During development, Porsche prioritized efficiency via the targeted optimization of hybrid components, which also led to a 20% weight reduction. It’s expected that version 2.0 of the 911 GT3 R Hybrid will be able to achieve the same lap times as its predecessor but with less fuel consumption. The hybrid’s general layout was taken from the 2010 model.

Hmmm, does this give credibility to the rumors about a second edition GT3 RS? If anyone has more - more than rumor that it - it would be great to know.
