2011 Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet wants to steal buyers of Audi A4, Bmw 3-Series...
As you may know already, Nissan unveiled the Murano CrossCabriolet back in 2010 at the LA Auto Show. Honestly to tell you we can’t really understand this car, but it appears that the Japanese production thinks this is a serious business and that the car will not steal buyers from Toyota, Honda and Hyundai, but from the luxury world of BMW, Audi and Volvo. I don't see how, this is like comparing bus to a tractor. There is no similarity between this and any coupe. This is an SUV. people shopping for convertible coupes are not likely to cross shop it with an SUV. Cool and nique vehicle though. If they make it everyone else will jump on the bandwagon like when BMW made the X6

Certainly a good concept and a unique market niche, but I think the car they used doesnt really seem like it would lead the way in this segment. At least put it out as an Infiniti FX or create a brand new vehicle for it.

I must admit, if there were a "luxury" version of a Jeep Wrangler...I would probably be first in line to buy it. Talk about versatility! An open air cruiser that could handle the bad winter roads? Yes please. (Think about the original two door G Class Mercedes with retractable roof). Although, its not the first attempt at an open air suv, remember the Amigo? Side Kick? Bronco? Blazer?

I think Nissan has the right idea, but I agree with the statement above. If they want to steal sales from luxury brands, it would have been a better idea to release a new vehicle from Infiniti (at least here in the states).

Although now I might have nightmares about a Volkswagen rerelease of the 'Thing' for a new generation.

I actually had forgotten all four of those.

This could steal buyers from cars like Beetle cabrio, Mini cooper, Smart or even RR Evoque and X6 ..etc. Can see college going young people driving it.
