New Lexus LF-Gh Hybrid Set To Launch At NY Auto Show, What Do YOU Expect It/Want It To Be?

New Lexus LF-Gh Hybrid Set To Launch At NY Auto Show, What Do YOU Expect It/Want It To Be?
This year's 2011 New York Auto Show is setting itself up to be a big year for Toyota, specifically Lexus. That's because we've received an invitation to scope out their latest concept, the LF-Gh.

With the world premiere looming, some publications have speculated on two different options: a GX-based hybrid or the all-new GS sedan in hybrid trim. Either way, one thing is certain. It will be a hybrid.

Taking that into consideration, I assume that the vehicle will take on a more sporting character as we've noted Lexus leaning towards that direction for a couple of years now. It's an interesting path to take since it appears that German automakers are becoming softer, no?

Additionally, keep in mind that the GS is due for a revamped model and Lexus is saying that this concept will give a look into the future of Lexus' design. So we know it is a very important piece for Lexus to display. Let's hope it looks good!

More importantly, we want to know what are YOU expecting from the LF-Gh Concept AND what do you want it to be?

Looks like just a redesigned GS. The roof and trunk lines look similar to the current model. Let's hope the car will have more power and sportiness.

lol That picture above isn't a teaser.

I heard it's going to be awesome, but I don't want to raise my expectations up too high! :D

@Designer, @Worldofluxury

Yeah that picture isn't the spoken about vehicle. I believe it is from the last-gen GS launch.

@enthusiast

Lexus has been adding "LF" to concept cars for a couple of years. I believe it is a direct reference to "Lexus L-Finesse" design. The G is for [I don't know] and h is for hybrid as seen in CT200h, HS250h.

An improvement on a fantastic car I hope, I don't expect major changes knowing Lexus

Expect it to be more roomier and sportier this time. Current GS still looks very nice so an evolution of current design will be fine. Also Lexus should retain the quad head lamps and give it an Audi-beating interior.

"Current GS still looks very nice "

- It looks bloated, dated, non-athletic, and mis-proportioned to me. Guess I'm different.

Cue the personal attack for having a differing opinion of a CAR?

You got it right on. The interior will beat Audi MB and BMW.....

Yeah... Just like the past Lexuses beat out Audi and BMW? Why do Lexus fans always proclaim domination before the thing is even released? Then when it finnaly comes out, its always a different story.

"Nice attempt" is what comes next. Give me a break. Wait for the thing to get released first before you say that its better than anything.

No one said that it was below it. Someone said that it will beat it.

"The interior will beat Audi MB and BMW" is the exact quote. I'm not sure how that can be turned into stating that the GS's quality level was inferior. I'm confused.

It's at the end of a 7 year cycle. Mercedes and BMW would have to have 5 to 8 grand back to get rid of the old E-class and 5 series. Got another one fake no nothing enthsiast?
