Mercedes-Benz Becomes First Automaker To Offer Drivers Ed Training In US
For most teens, this experience will as close as they ever come in life to owning a new Mercedes-Benz: The luxury brand will open a driving school in the U.S. later this year.

Already, we take pity on some of the world's most admired cars -- the hard braking, the skidding tires, the reckless disregard they will endure from gumsnapping teens. They are sure to text every detail about how they gave their instructors whiplash with sudden stops or jolted them by driving over curbs.

Is this different than the One day / Two day Teen Driving School that BMW offers at in SC - Spartanburg? Then again maybe the courses offered at this Mercedes started drivers ed school will be cheaper than the BMW one.

Then again Mercedes is a full on driver's school versus courses offered as part of the BMW performance driving school. Wonder if the classes offered there would suit the drivers ed course requirement by some states to get their permits/licenses.

Interesting ... and curious. Maybe I'm not creative enough but I can't see the aim being solely introducing the teens to the MB cars hoping that these will be successful enough 5 - 10 years down the road to buy a MB then. I would think that MB is trying to gain an understanding of the driving pattern of teens (for future safety design), their critiques (to incorporate fresher designs into their cars that will help them cater to the younger crowd), etc. etc. I.E. weaning some research datas that will allow them to cater a different customer base. OR, I'm just wrong altogether.
