The E320 CDI is the only BLUETEC equiped car for now. The ML320 CDI and the GL320 CDI will not be BLUETEC engines - at least for the first model year.

I would buy a diesel over gas for suvs and big vehicles. Much better torque and saves u money.
The GL actually looks very nice in the water/terran. Very attractive in the pic.

GM and Ford must have high output diesels engines for SUVs and Pickup trucks in the works by now or else, they will lose further market share. Quick fix is to co-develope with other manufacturers or simply have them supply engines. Just imagine, A 2008 Chevrolet Suburban with a twin turbo V8 Diesel engine with 400 h.p. and around 650 to 800 lb/ft of torque! Wouldn't anybody buy this vehicle with a Chevy, GMC, Dodge, Ford badge? It gives new meaning to the term macho or sporty with this engine in these trucks.
The new diesel engines are quiet, powerful, and not as smoky as the old diesel engines we used to know.
