SPYSHOT: Another potential version of the BMW X6

This was sent in by signaljr, one of our readers...If the X6 looks this good, police will be doing crowd control around BMW dealerships!

Looks better, but this is not a realistic car version. Most cars look really good on the first sketches, but highly impractical. The wheels in the picture are at least 30 inches. In the bottom one it looks like a vehicle with X5 length but with the hight of an M3 coupe. Looks coll, but impractical. i expect the final version to look quite subdued.

They are like 100+ pounds. Adding 280 pounds in rotating mass is like adding 560 pounds total to the car. They also look bad on anything but a giant SUV. Here is my proof.

...the X6 would be more of an R-Class competator. This looks very unpractical!

e--s--f,
a limited production two seater, radical like this sucker, 12 cylinder cayenne beater, how's that for an X6?

Its a cool looking car but it might be a little impractical.

For a concept drawing. But in reality the roof would be too low and judging by the rear bumper height, a nightmare to put anything into it since it sits higher. I really like the way he designed the tail lights. MUCH better than those on the 3 Series sedan...I can't stand those lights in the rear...too Hyundai or something.... not very BMW looking...

Maybe something this impractical is exacly what the automotive world needs you gotta shake things up a bit every once in a while...but I know that no company not even BMW has the balls to really make this a production vehicle

That looks too extreme to be real, but the idea of a crossover between an SUV (X5) and a sports coupe (6-series) is very appealing. Let's hope it looks a bit more like a coupe, though. :)

I believe the Infiniti inspired cheetah prototype, now known as the production Infiniti FX, proved to the rest of the manufactures that you can deliver a vehicle like this X6 art work and it will sell.

Like the 850, this designed X6 is just what BMW needs. It's not a grocery getter for the wife (like the X3), its not a family ute (like the X5) but is the sporty cross over you need to get your golf clubs (more than one set or hockey bag(s) in my case) and you and your partner to the desination of your choice in 4X4 sporty style. Have you driven an FX45 lately?

Whether its a X6 or M-X5, just make the damn vehicle, who cares what the name is.

Lead, follow or get out of the way.
