New Caprice spied ?
Rumors of Holden vehicles, specifically the rear-drive Commodore, coming to the U.S. have always been a fixture of the automotive media, and with the Holden-based Pontiac G8's demise a few years ago, some of them have seemed to be more wishful thinking than anything of substance.

I wouldn't buy one myself, but a vehicle like this has it's place. There has to be a market for a performance 4dr like this. Chevy keep the price within reach!

Back end looks too much like the Impala. Speaking of the Impala, another article on the site said it's gonna be redesigned in 2014. The last time it got redesigned was 2005 or something. It's looooooooong overdue, and nobody really cares anyhow.

It only looks similar to the US-market Impala, but it's largely different. The Caprice in built on an extended version of the platform used for the Pontiac G8...which shares a modified version of the same platform with the Chevy Camaro.

I've heard that the Chevy Caprice sold in foreign markets is really nice though. It would do well as a flagship big car, but shouldn't be used for anything performance-oriented. The next version of the Holden Commodore will also be a new Chevy (Impala) SS maybe.

We've seen a few RWD prototypes and pre-production cars so far, but one thing I've noticed is that they all so far have the black plastic handles ( which I hope vanish by the time they hit the dealerships ) dual exhaust and flexifuel badging

The Mags have a cool look to them as well, overall I hope they price it and equip it somewhere closer to where we have the Avalon and Co.

The Caprice ( third gen ) Is a car that will always define '' America '' for me, I associate allot of Chevy goodness in that car and childhood souvenirs.

One thing that pisses me off is the '' Suzuki '' like front fascia we've seen on the police version, wtf is that all about

I've done some digging and I think the plastic handles once again tell us this is just another police model

Its the Impala version of the Pontiac G8. Actually looks like an old Malibu with the chrome trim.

A civilian version of this car would be a real sleeper. ECM/TCM tunes turn these cars into animals.
