Official shots of the next Mercedes-Benz CL slip out-part two

As can be seen, its styling this time the CL is much sleeker and more elegant - boot lid and rear end reminding somewhat of the Maybach - complete with a refined luxurious interior, technical equipment and visibly flared fenders.

Engines will be available in a range from a V6 3.7 litre to the V12 4,0 litre fuel units, and possibly also for the coupe a V6 3,2 litre Diesel and a V8 4,0 litre Diesel. The top of the line model is going to be the AMG version powered by a 6.3 litre V12 delivering over 600 HP.

In the 1970s the big Merc coupes could be purchased with the roof painted in a color different from the body. The roof paint would cover the roof and the "c" pillars but not the "a" pillar.

The roof paint sort of replaced a vinyl roof.

One of my neighbors had a Merc coupe that was white, with an Emerald Green roof. It looked surprisingly good and distinct.

I think this new CL needs similar paint exercises in order to make it look more interesting.

In the 2nd shot,(not so much the 1st, the side profile looks way too "busy". The crease along the door and along the fenders looks way too big. They should have made it more stuble or make it fade towards the rear. Also, the large wheel arches are o.k on a large sedan like the S-Class, but it does'nt work here on a "smaller" car.

You should do some research if you're planning to comment on MB articles.

THAT IS NOT THE AMG KIT. This is a standard CL550. Look at the front bumper.

BTW, I think the car looks stunning. I can't wait too see it in person.

On further reflection, I am shocked by how ugly the new CL 550 is from the rear. I hope its better on the streets than in photos. I don't like the "smiling" curve from the lights to the bumper.

This car is the next best thing, everybody seems to be complaining about the rims, but if you recall those are the same exact rims the New S class had as well, in the release pictures. You will obviously be able to pick your rims, whether its the AMG Rims, or the other spoke rims available by Mercedes. Another thing, this looks to be the BASE model, from what i have notice is that everybody seems to be wanting to go with the AMG looking models, so im sure that model will be sure to impress us even more. this car has a real sleak and sexy look to it, me as a 21 year old, am planning to trade my 650i for this, reason being, next hottest thing, and also its a CL, you can not go wrong with it. THE OLD MODEL WAS BORING,this one looks real fast and sexy. cant wait for the interior pics, im sure they will impress us once again with the technology.

As with the Sedan S,Rear is reallllllllly ugly,hideous,bland,boring,bulky,fat.....what else should i say????
Look at the wheel arches, rims, rear lights, rear bumper with that twin tailpipes.

This car's rear is even uglier that the Ssang Yong's RODIUS.

How could have MB even passed this design, and proceeded into production.R they running out of designing ideas.

MB remove that fat ass from that average looking coupe.U have ruined the car and it's legendary image.

well, look at the CURRENT S550. with the S600. there really is NO DIFFERENCE. except for whats under the hood, before you try to outsmart me on mercedes benz, do your research . i think everyone here really agrees the S550 looks identical to the S600, unless one has the AMG package and the other one doesn't.
