TrueCar Reports Data on New Hyper-Efficient Fuel-Additive, Urenol
TrueCar.com has received previously unreleased performance results of a new urea-based fuel additive that reportedly increases the fuel-efficiency of vehicles by up to 65%.

TrueCar.com received the leaked data from Ms. Pirla Solof, a former employee of the Finnish company Bla Där Teknology. Urenol, the so called, “Super Fuel,” is a urea (urine) based additive that reacts with the complex chemical bonds found in fuel, breaks them down, then replicates them.

Don't be a hater, 4Mula1Fan! It's clever. Besides, Mercedes-Benz already uses Urea to reduce exhaust emissions, so it's really not such a far-fetched idea.

This really isn't funny. It is just goofy. Urea to reduce emissions is different from urea to "replicate" fuel. It is, indeed, a very far-fetched idea.

Mercedes is not the only company to use urea injection to reduce DIESEL exhaust emissions. And even then, the urea isn't burnt in the exhaust. This so-called fuel additive would be burnt in the combustion chamber and probably cause more harmful emissions than it would be solving.

The process works as follows: an aqueous urea solution is injected into the exhaust stream, the heat of which decomposes the urea into ammonia. The exhaust with ammonia then passes over a catalyst that reduces the nitric oxides to water, nitrogen and oxygen, thereby minimizing NOx emissions. This is one of the major techniques for reducing NOx emissions in diesels, and multiple manufacturers use it. Urea is a major metabolic breakdown product from the human body and is excreted in urine.
