it probably would be priced comparable to the CLS, it's hard to say since the models don't match up. The base CLS is the 550, and Audi is only bringing over the six cylinder A7 for now. Until Audi brings over an A6/A7 V8 or Mercedes brings over a CLS350, they're not going to compare directly.

"$59k (excluding $875 destination charge, taxes, title, options, and dealer charges)"

Those charges will push it over the $100k mark! lol

I don't know what options list are like at Audi USA but over here the Options list on an A6/A8 can easily add another £25k to the price of the vehicle.

Not quite JRob.

Base CLS is 74k.

Base A7 is 59k. If Audi used say....the same 4.2V8 in the current A8 I seriously doubt the price would rise 15k.

In other words this car is a relative bargain. It also makes me think the "base" A6 when it comes out will be as well.

Well we'll never know I guess, since that's not happening. The S7 will be Audi's "base" V8 version of the car and I wouldn't be surprised at all if it was priced much like the new turbo V8 CLS550. Hell, it very well may cost more. We'll see.

The S7 will be the first V8 option with the RS7 the second V8 option.

How was it annouced today? I was in an Audi dealership on Saturday. An A7 3.0 S-Line was sitting on the floor with an MSRP of around $76k

You might want to take a second look and see if they tacked on a market value adjustment. I don't know if Audi dealers try that sh*t but, I know Chyrsler dealers did it for the longest when the Challenger SRT8 came out.

Nope. It was the manufactures sticker. I didn't indiate if the dealer was marketing it up.
