Mercedes-Benz Recalls 137,000 M Class Vehicles For Faulty Cruise Controls
Mercedes-Benz is recalling 137,000 M-class SUVs because the cruise control doesn't immediately disengage when drivers tap the brake pedal.

Cruise control systems are supposed to immediately shut off the moment the driver uses either the brake or gas pedal.

It's quiet in here, if it was a Toyota, Lexus, Nissan, Infiniti, Honda or Acura we probably have 1000+ post by now.

Yup, used to have a 2000 ml320...huge piece of junk. Tranmission issues at 40K miles, trim falling off inside and out, power windows quit, ride was worse than a pre-Firestone Ford Explorer. And I hear mine was a reliable one because it never stranded me!

Didn't stop me from buying an S430, S550, and a 2010 ML350 (I kept the annoying ML320 for 10 yrs - yes I'm a glutten for punishment - because it was actually really awesome off-road and in the snow, it was a snow-plow without the blade!). S550 best car I've ever owned.

My sister had an ML430 and it had a complete electronic breakdown at one point. After the dealership replaced a chip or sensor the car never had another electric issue afterwards. I've heard from people that some electric issues on those MLs are simply a matter of replacing a chip that allows electric bypasses.

My wife's ML has been flawless and it is a 2000 model.
