Chrysler faces $10,000 hit on every Fiat 500 EV it sells, CEO says

On the sidelines of Fiat S.p.A.’s recent general meeting, Fiat-Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne said that Chrysler Group LLC will lose over $10,000 on every battery-powered Fiat 500 it sells in the U.S., despite the retail price being “three times higher” than a version of the minicar with an internal combustion engine. VW lost 4million per car with the Veyron. It not its the first time Chrysler lost money.
