Design school students out-pen Audi's own internal designer's with this beauty?

Well, these do look great, but all primary sketches look great, allmost all. But the new R8 should look really great, even better than the original Le Mans concept.

AS--you obviously dont get it and by your comments you should probably go to the zoo and look at a Panther because that would have been a spot on description if you weren't saying that it doesn't look like that and just accept that all the world wants some latin in their life!

Great job on this design concept. Both current and future design elements are present. Definitely recognizable as an Audi.

I like the deeply recessed Audi grill. A great interpretation of a current design theme. The narrowing of the grill makes it look somewhat Bugatti like from certain angles (not a bad thing). The wheel designs are also very cool, nice offset and coloring.

The rocker panel design is interesting. From the side it makes the vehicle look like its resting on elbows, about ready to pounce on something. It could produce a problem upon entering and exiting however. Don't believe I have ever seen that anywhere else before.

I really like the open ring tail light design better the the enclosed version. I think that design element would really stand out on a real car.

It looks like the doors would open in reverse similar to the future car used in the movie "I-Robot".

I also like the way the bottom of the car pushes out symetrically from the front and rear lending a balanced and finished appearance.

The pronounced "domed" front hood panel looks bad in the red example because of the stripe. If anything, I think it should be toned down and not accented like that.

The cutaway shows a horizontaly mounted damper system notorious for producing a very firm/harsh ride but common in race cars of today. All components appear to be crafted, appropriately, in aluminium.

Electric drive? Well, of couse. Electric motors produce maximum torque at 1 rpm for incredible performance. This would change the entire architecture of the vehicle. Motors appear to be inboard to reduce unsprung weight. Batteries would take up the most space and would need to be placed low in the chassis to keep center of gravity in check.

I'm not sure what type of ventilation would be necessary but the huge rear vent certainly looks functional and stylish. It also adds symmetry with the front grill. Symmetry is what the previous TT design was all about if you look closely at the angles.

I prefer the LED light strip at the top of the rear window allowing the Audi ring logo to remain on the lower lip of the rear decklid.

In case anyone from Audi design reads any of this feedback, I think you should hire the guys even if they are French!

Peugeot also had produced a similar design study concept,which was called the 'Peugeot 4002'.

At last i want to say Audi,U have great designs and u can do it,why u r not rushing these models into the market.

is it just me, or am i seeing resurrections of the EDSEL horse collar/toilet seat in all these new audis and proposed audis?

(granted, the rest of the body is sleek. but why have oversized schnozzes as the central theme?)

aside from a questionable design premise to begin with, whatever became of PROTECTIVE bumpers? what are body shop bills going to be after even minor crashes?

don't mean to be cruel, but is just way TOO FUNNY to pass up!

one of pics even shows a TOILET SEAT on the rear. and makes the rear seem that much more FAT ASSED. LOL! (oh well, students can have fun!)

This car is battery powered as u know. -but it is said to accelerate to 100km/h in less than 3 sec. and have a greater top speed than the veyron... no numbers for now, big problems with tires.

Stick to R8 styling. I've had it with the Rosemeyer concept styling.
