Now if you're an overprotective parent, fear not! You too can take your hovering and anxiety inside the car when you're not with your tot, I mean teen, as they drive.
According to a recent MSNBC article, there are plenty of applications that let you monitor, lock out and detect what your teen is doing while behind the wheel. Uh, hold on a second. Whatever happened to teenagers learning lessons the hard way?
Does anyone think that these nanny'ing devices will really help?I mean, this isn't a parenting social media site so I guess I'll stop right here.

A number of parent-focused smartphone applications offer a variety of driver tracking features, competing over hackability, price, privacy and customization. For those without smartphones, an entire cottage industry of cellphone-agnostic devices has sprung up in response to the sudden accessibility of tracking technology.
Taser, the nonlethal weapons manufacturer, busted into the software space at CES earlier this year with Protector, an in-car tracking device that automatically locks out a paired smartphone once the engine is switched on.
