Car Czar Position Falls Victim To Federal Budget Cuts

The deal to finance federal government operations for the next six months kills the Obama administration's "car czar" job and cuts funds to at least two federal
vehicle programs.
The White House and Congress narrowly averted a partial shutdown on Friday night by agreeing to cut $38 billion from this year's budget, which finances operations through Sept. 30. The administration agreed to kill four so-called czar jobs, including the senior adviser overseeing the government's investments in the auto industry.
