It's not about brand image, it's about profit. There is a tremendous amount of price mark-up in all suv's.

Does the market need another suv? NO!

I picture Jaguar pitted itself more directly against Porsche and Infiniti with a sporty Cross-over. The others like Range Rover, BMW, and Mercedes may just be by default do to the price range but I guess time will tell when we actually see a product.
