Yesterday brought the first official shots of the all-new 2012 Audi Q3. Looking like a cross between a Q5 and Q7 that has been scaled down, the new Q3 places itself squarely against BMW's hotly successful X1. The X1 has done so well abroad that it has delayed the sport-utility vehicle making its way to the States.

Very easy. It's smaller, different grill, rear more rackish, headlights, more slanted side profile.

It's amazing how different the S-line package makes the Q3 look--in particular, the more flared intakes in front compared to the rounded ones on the base version. It general, it makes its stance look more car-like whereas the base version, looks more SUV like.
