This is more aggressive?

OK --- they're going to surprise us with an AWD, turbo V6 option....

...not likely, eh...

I think GM is banking on new interior content (tech gadgets) to distract us from any disappointment on the exterior. The front facia looks a bit more "mature" though. I'm guessing the rear facia will have a Camaro-esque look with new brake lights and such.

Better keep working on that reliability, my brand new 2011 Malibu rental car from Hertz with just over 1K on the odometer, left me stranded on the NJ turnpike yesterday morning, the car just completely died.....

Because rental cars are a great estimation of reliability?

I would expect any car with 1k on the odometer to be reliable, perhaps your expectations are far lower than my own and pretty much the rest of the planet.

Looks like the boring version of an Insignia

It's a good, clean design that is a bit more muscular than the previous model. This is a high volume seller and it has to stay family friendly.
It will be good for Chevy. Can't wait to see the new Camry.

It's not as chunky looking as the out-going model. It looks like GM took the focus group data and re-designed the C-pillar.

Maybe their design team should check out the Sonata and Optima then try again.

the press release says they are going to be released with a "Powerful 4-cyl"? isn't that an oxymoron?
