VIDEO REVIEW: Land Rover Discovery vs. the VW Touareg

Comparisons can be a funny thing. If you want a serious off-roader then you can't expect the best on-road performance. If you want a high performance car you can't expect a smooth ride or use it as a commuter.

It is very difficult for a vehicle to do both well which the Toureg tries to accomplish. Most would settle for the Toureg because most people only 4x4 5% of the time. If you want a capable off-roader then the Discovery is the way to go. Just don't complain that you can't take corners at 90KPH.
