SPIED: Is THIS An Audi Q5 S/RS OR Is It Porsche's Cajun?
Or, maybe you would!
Porsche's next-generation sport-utility vehicle, the Cajun, is going to be yet another major event for the brand. As the Cayenne and Panamera were HUGE splashes -- and helped keep the brand a going concern -- the Cajun is likely to inject MORE sales into the marque's growing portfolio of vehicles.
You can thank that to what will likely be a lower price of admission.
Here, we see what is said to be a Cajun under development. Of course it is under the skin of the Q5, which now is boasting larger air intakes.
But wait, what if this is really an Audi Q5 S/RS product undergoing testing?
Hm, what say you, Spies?

Im going to lean towards a QS5/SQ5 what ever the permutation will be. Unless they are testing a cross-brand motor/chassis setup, which is also possible, this car appears to be 100% Audi. Headlights, tail lights, badges, wheels, etc all appear to be Q5 specific.
Then again, I don't read German, so there is somewhat of a language barrier preventing me from digesting the article.
I would hope a Porsche version would have a little more than body and interior differences.

Really no surprise. Audi has gone model crazy the past few years. I wouldn't even be surprise to see an A3 sportback with the camelback design at this point.

Alright, so we've been down this road before. Definately not an RS model as Audi does not have the resources or will to build such a specialized product. S version......good possibility. We know the 3.0T will be going into the engine bay very soon. We just wern't sure if it was going to be the 270hp version or the 333hp version. I'm pretty sure it'll be the 270hp version which is just fine by me. Stasis can fix that. After looking at the front plate more closely however, I'd have to question if this is an Audi mule at all. Could be the Porsche but also could be an ABT, MTM or other aftermarket test mule as well.

the q7 v12 tdi was an euro-only thing; given that the europeans love diesels, the q7 needed a 'halo model', and audi probably had some development work already done (r8 v12 tdi concept, r10 le mans racer). i guessing that it wasn't an entirely crazy proposition.
besides, audi rarely goes for unproven niche vehicles--that's something bmw's more incline to do...

The 3.2 V6 has 270 horsepower, the S version should get the 333 horsepower version if Audi makes one. However in either tune the engine is underrated.
