NEW YORK AUTO SHOW: It's ALL About The Little Details With The 2012 BMW 650i Coupe
If there has been one weakpoint of BMW vehicles, it has always been their interiors. Audi has always been king, in that regard. But, with the 2012 BMW 650i, that could very well change.
That's because it appears that BMW is ushering in a new era of interior design. Sure, the overall layout remains largely the same but take a look at the attention to detail and materials.
This is a huge improvement from the last-generation 6-Series and for BMW products as a whole.
It doesn't look like you'll have to order a BMW Individual product to get a nice interior anymore. Three cheers for the engineers!

Last I checked BMW makes interiors for the oh, wait, what's it called? ... hmmm, oh the PHANTOM!! So I guess this proves NOW that BMW can make a couch and Audi still can't make a CAR?!! Just wondering out loud!!

This is a great looking car I have no clue what "Lexus" is smoking...this car is less aggressive than its predecessor. and as far as the interior goes BMW has stepped it up because these interiors on the F-models are outstanding and I think this year they take the cake for best looking interior or if not definitley the runner up.

Let's see some OTHER maker create DARING, LINES, CURVES, INTEREST, SEX APPEAL, FUN, instead of bland sheet "metal"

Whatever. Unless the pics deceive, the 6-series interior isn't much different than the 5 or 7.

The alcantara roof liner and ceramic controls are very cool. BMW moves this car closer to the 8 Series even if they do call it the 650i. This is the best interior they have done since the E31 8 Series imo. Keep bringing it BMW!

Priced out a 650i Conv on BMW UK website.
With Most Options the vehicle was priced at over £96,400.
Thats damn near £100,000 GBP or $164,700 USD.
Either Inflation is at 10% and above or BMW need to give me a serious lecture on the reasons for the price jump.

Most everything about the car has improved, but I just prefer the out-going models styling as it was just way more aggressive & interesting to look at IMO.

One other thing I absolutely can't stand is BMW's decision to outfit certain models with rectangular tailpipes... Round or Oval tailpipes are much more appealing IMO.
