After almost being bored to death at this years opening day in N.Y., Scion dropped a BOMB to finish the day.
Not only is it our pick as the car of the show, it could be the best looking car at an auto show in 2011.
And to take it one step further Agent 00R and I actually think it's BETTER looking than the Lexus LF-A.
Dare we say Japan does their take on a Ferrari coupe?
This thing is SEX on wheels!!!
Take a look at these EXCLUSIVE photos from our special PRIVATE showing of the gorgeous Scion Concept and voice your opinion.
You won't see these shots anywhere else on the net and will NOT be disappointed.
Couple questions we have though...Did it upstage the LF-Gh and should this have been a Lexus Coupe Concept?

The question is this. If this is still considered a concept after this painfully long development, how watered down will the production Scion be.Other then the expected smaller wheels(probably 18" instead of 20"s)the body should be left alone. Further the 2.0 Boxer 4 should be cranking out a minimum of 200 HP(preferably 225HP). We will have to wait and see.I must admit I did not like the updated FT86 in Black. However this thing in Red looks great!

Agree don't change anything (though everyone knows those diffusers wont make production.
Every version of the FT86 has looked great, however this is a 10 out of 10. Toyota make this your final design.

There is no way in hell the production model will look anything like that. Concepts are BS.

Why can't they make this the Toyota Supra? And give 500 hp? If not I hope they're going to have several engine option for this. I would love to see 4 cylinder, turbo/twin turbo V4 and give it the same engine as the one in the Lexus IS350 and give 350 hp for the top end model to compete with 370Z, Mustang V6 and Hyundai Genesis coupe.
Infiniti has the G37 and Nissan 370Z using the same engine.

WOW...that think looks NICE! Toyota should have sized it up a little bit and sold it as the Lexus SC500.

If it looks this good in real life, I predict the car will be the #1 stolen car in America within 6 mos after it hits the streets. But I wouldn't change a thing.

Is it just me, or are the front brakes enormous? Looks promising, if not a bit overdone. Lets just hope it has a decent engine and handles well.

it's only a matter of time before production vehicles start looking like that concept. Toyota will most certainly water-down the production version, but apart from the headlights, rearview mirrors, and lack of door handles, the car is production ready--and not to mention, HOT

Ok, so we have heard that Toyota, Scion and Subaru will be getting veriants of this model, correct?
I would love a revival of the Supra legacy, but not when it has siblings that undermine its road presence. The last thing I want is to pay 40+ (or more) for a turbo model (based on the MK IV pricing) and have some kid in a Scion get a strikingly similar vehicle for half the price.
However, I can easily see Toyota moving this model 'up market' in the US and badging it as a Lexus...it seems to have very similar styling to the IS-F and LF-GH, lets hope if that happens it avoids the Lexus anesthesia. Though a little google research seems to indicate a Scion and Subaru variant alone.

You have to figure that the changes for the production model will be slimmer fenders and a smaller front grill.I hope the 2.0 boxer 4 puts out 220HP.

Why Toyota? Why? Why do you have to put a Scion logo on the Ft-86? Why not improve Toyota's image? Why? Just let that POS Brand die already, pleaseeee just let it die.
Someone please tell me there will be a Toyota veriant...

I definitely agree with you 100% about getting rid of the Scion brand and spend those billions of dollar on developing the next Celica and Supra and it to production form. I don't understand why they have to go and spend billion of dollar and try to compete with Kia or Hyundai with the Scion brand???
If Toyota does this, their sales will skyrocket for sure. I got a G37 coupe now because nothing that Toyota offer excited except their premium brand which is the Lexus IS350/ISF/GS and Lexus LF-A model.
Toyota if you're listening, I want a Toyota Supra with a twin turbo V8 with 550+ hp and Toyota Celica with a base model engine spec of 225 hp and the top range model to 300+ hp. If you build this two cars people are willing to paid high price for if it had the performance and fun factor to back it up.
