Lamborghini now planning Rapide/Panamera competitor?

Supercar firm Lamborghini has sensationally axed plans to add two new models to its supercar line-up.

The news comes as its owner, the VW Group, angrily denied claims it was planning to sell the luxury brand, along with stablemates Bentley and Bugatti. The German giant also poured cold water on claims that it will cease production of its own luxury flagship, the Phaeton, although it is looking into reducing the number of trim levels available with the car.

Hmmmmm...not sure if the Lambo SUV will be a competitor? 001 prolly used whatever pic he could use.

Well Lambo had SUVs before and now that VW is the parent company of course it will be based off the Toureg platform. Then again does anyone want a two door SUV?

I really hope Lambo doesn't comeout with a SUV, that would just kill my opinion of them. Ferrari and Lambo need to stick with what works, supercars.

I hope they do not make an suv too. It wouldnt do as good as the porsche or vw becuase it would be twice as much. That suv pic on top kinda has the same layout as that Mazda cx-7, except the lambos a two door.

Making an SUV is not a bad idea.Remember Porsche,Audi and above all even Spyker have one concept.

But as Dbloseven stated "Then again does anyone want a two door SUV?"

I think it will not be a good move to make a $200K 2 door SUV.There will be definately no market for such a vehicle.

I think they should better make a real and adeqate CLS/Panamera/Rapide competior.
A 4 door Coupe.

That will be great.
