AWESOME or AWFUL: Is This RUF Porsche Over The Top Or JUST Right?

Our main man and spy photographer extraordinaire, Fred Khaz, snapped some lovely shots of a RUF Porsche at what appears to be a little auto event in SoCal. I'll guess it was Cars and Coffee.

Upon taking a closer look at this RUF, note its classic look with what looks like a targa top and soft top, which serves as its rear windscreen. It's definitely a unique look.

Question is: how do you feel about it?

Also, take a closer look at its GT3, carbon fiber racing seats the rest of the upgraded interior.

Personally, I am a sucker for its gunmetal five-spoke, center-lock wheels that are wrapped with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires.

Not feeling the targa conversion. Looks unprofessional.

By the way, pretty sure the racing buckets are available as an option for all 997's.

I like the concept, but too much carbon fiber for my tastes.

BTW, RUF has developed it's own V8 in house to be used in place of the Flat6 for future models
