Now here's a good problem to have at an American car company!

The new Dodge Caliber is so on fire dealers are begging Chrysler to get more units into dealerships.

Now that's a high class problem GM and Ford would love to have as well!

This car looked really nice in photos....but when I was in person, I was shocked, the INTERIOR is SOOOOO CHEAP! I mean I actually scratched it accidentally with just my short trimmed finger nails!! I can only imagine once you begin to use it day-to-day. This actually put me off from considering the upcoming SRT-4 version... I am in a market for a second fun to drive SMALL car... already have the midsizer...But this will not be my choice. Guess I am spoiled to the cars I drive now, but for $21,000 sticker on the car, I woulda thought it would be a little better than it was.

Do you have any proof. I want to see sales numbers compared to the competition, Civic, Corolla.

What the hell do Civic/Corolla sale #s have to do with the demand/supply of Dodge Caliber?

If the car is flying of the lots, it must be selling well. It is annoying how many companies have recently proclaimed how their car is selling so great that they can't build enough. I think that it is lame. A company like Dodge should have plenty of capacity to manufacture cars. Like Pontiac did with the Solstice, got 9,000 orders but only made 7,000. This is only to create hype and sell cars at above MSRP.

I thought it looked nice in the pictures, but when I saw it in person, I thought it looked hideous. I can't put my finger on what is wrong with it, but it just looks unproportional. First off I think the tires are to big and is way to high off the ground. It's as if dodge took a magnum and just made it shorter. It doesn't work that way. When you design a smaller car you have to proportion it. I thought it was gonna be smaller like a vibe/matrix or maybe focus, but it appears much larger than those vehicles. So I really do not know what people see in this vehicle. The only advantage is that maybe it has a lot more room than the other smaller cars in its segment.
