SPIED: 2012 Mercedes-Benz M-Class Goes Off-Road In Namibia
Even though the Mercedes-Benz M-Class has been used mostly for driving on pavement, it looks like the next-generation ML will be able to take some abuse as well. I think this may be the first time an M-Class has been off-road since its Jurassic Park debut.

Perhaps it has something to do with some of the possible Jeep DNA that could be in the next-gen M. Not too long ago we ran interior spy photographs that showed a lot of switchgear on the center console that reminded me of a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee equipped with an air suspension.

Hmm, I wonder what Mercedes has in store for us with this all-new creation of theirs.

I think MB will need good off-road capability built-in to the next M-Class to deter Range Rover, X5, Q7 and Cayenne buyers.

Hope it can be flat towed behind my RV. Will trade in Jeep for that capability in a MB ML.

^The platform was co-developed with Daimler. A JOINT project. Look it up. Where did you come from anyway? "Blazin" through with info you pulled out from under your couch cushions. I had to check you in the Ralph Gilles more frequent style changes article as well. Go check it out. *hands you your automotive enthusiast violation ticket*
