Both Chevrolet Volt And Nissan Leaf Ace IIHS Crash Tests
In the first independent crash tests of mainstream electric vehicles conducted in the United States, the Chevrolet Volt and Nissan Leaf have been named Top Safety Picks by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.
That is good news for early adopters and bodes well for these vehicles as they fight for broader acceptance in the marketplace.

Im sure these hybrids have been involved in really bad accidents. Wonder why we havent heard stories of them blowing up? (not that I want to hear one, just wondering)
*(on a side note, why didnt the Volt on fire in that one garage fire explode either?)
