SPIED: BMW's X1 Spotted In SoCal, Again -- When's It Actually Going For Sale Already?!

SPIED: BMW's X1 Spotted In SoCal, Again -- When's It Actually Going For Sale Already?!
It wouldn't be the first time, but the BMW X1 has been spotted -- again -- in SoCal. This time it was in Long Beach.

This makes things a little bit hazy. While the car has been spotted in SoCal for quite sometime, and it was suppose to make its way to US shores in 2011, BMWNA has remained pretty tight lipped on when it will arrive.

Since its hot success in Europe, the X1 has seemingly been delayed in the States.

Any Spies care to place start a "pool" for the release of the X1 in America?

While BMW is still keeping mum on when it will bring its smallest crossover model over to the States, Carscoop reader, Nick K., who is always alert for new models on the road, snapped this picture of the X1 dressed in an M Sport outfit during his daily maneuvers in Long Beach, California. “I saw this BMW X1 driving in Long Beach today followed by 3 5-Series BMW's. It had specially marked plates and it was beautiful,” Nick told Carscoop...

Dont hate the car. Hate the segment, b/c there are other just as "useless" vehicles in the same segment.... But the vehicles in this segment sell really well and are in high demand...so i guess bashing them makes no difference.

Way better looking than an X3. BMW left a lot of money to the competition not bringing it here.

Saw one today on the 905 fwy about 3 miles north of the border crossing in San Diego. (4/29/11) It was white. Had to drive behind it for awhile could see the X1 badge really well. Didn't realize it was rare, til I came home and googled it. Thinking it was a new model that I didn't know. I had a 323is for 10 years. I thought it looked great, but then I am just a girl who likes BMRs.

Living in San Diego I get to see lots of fun cars we don't get (coming up from Mexico). 120i hatches, Alfa, Renault, etc.
