Huh? GM Blames Fall In Volt Sales On Producton Of Demo Units
Monthly sales of General Motors Co.'s extended range electric Chevrolet Volt fell in April, as the automaker ramped up distribution of demonstration models to dealers, the company said Monday.

"It's tough to limit the number of Volts for sale to potential customers when demand is so strong, but the Volt has value to the Chevrolet portfolio well beyond incremental sales," said Cristi Landy, Chevrolet marketing director, in a statement.

And they were to sell them $10K over MSRP, who's going to buy it?!

Can't blame GM for any price hike. That falls all onto the Stealerships. Thats why its called MSRP (MANUFACTURER Sugessted Retail Price) actual retail price is set at the dealership.

When you over-hype, under deliver and over charge for a, at best, bland hybrid, buyers will find lower cost, better performing alternatives.

lol, because you clearly didn't read the article. The dealerships can't sell any more because they don't have the inventory, the show pieces they are putting on their floors to lure in more buyers (of this and other vehicles) reflect the sales drop.

Over-priced, over-hyped, and deceiving "mileage". Not a very smart product introduction by Government Motors.
