Honda Delays Release Of New CR-V Due To Quake

Honda Motor Co. extended limits on U.S. dealer orders of Japan-built autos and delayed the release of a new CR-V sport-utility vehicle to manage the impact of a record earthquake in March.

The Tokyo-based company doesn’t expect to restore full production at plants in North America until late this year because of the disruption of parts supplies caused by the March 11 quake, Gary Robinson, a U.S.-based Honda spokesman said. The release of the 2012 CR-V is likely to be at least a month later than planned and production of the redesigned Civic that went on sale in late April will be limited for a few months, he said.

Awesome reporting and editing. How can anyone miss the Ford logo on the grill even if they don't know what the SUV is? Did the poster get one of the free jobs online posting insightful articles and blogs that you see posted by websites from time to time? He/she should be promoted for their excellent research. Outstanding! I want the five minutes back on my life that was wasted reading and typing this!

Ford Kuga, which will be sold in the US as the redesigned Escape next year.

For a second I thought I was going to see the new CR-V. Although if I can judge by the new Civic, it will probably just have some slightly changed panels and maybe a taillight change.
