Chevrolet Recalls ALL 2011 Cruze Sedans For Steering And Transmission Problems

General Motors is recalling all of its 2011 Chevrolet Cruze compact sedans to check for a steering problem as well as a condition in which an automatic transmission that appears to be in Park may still be in gear, increasing the chance of a roll-away accident.

In a telephone interview Wednesday evening, Alan Adler, a G.M. spokesman, said the steering recall covered about 129,000 vehicles in the United States. The action also covers roughly 25,000 vehicles built for the Canadian market.

I remember the famous video a few months back of the guy who's steering wheel had just popped off while on the highway, but this, this is priceless ...

So honey I got home, parked the new Cruz and guess what, it just smacked into the garage ... FML

Yup, a GM when receiving awards and accolades, yet a Daewoo when it has a recall.

You can't win, lol every manufacturer has recalls, even Honda, this is still a good car as long as the steering wheel doesn't pop off.

Just to think, if this was a Toyota we'd be hearing about this recall in 2015!

At least they are quick to act on faults. Others named above wait years and go through massive denial campaigns and then rollout "Piece of Mind" ads.

This wouldn't be an issue if people drove manuals and popped the parking brake up.
