Jaguar to build C-X75 Veyron beater
Jaguar has unveiled plans to build a £700,000 petrol-electric hybrid supercar in the UK.

It will build 250 cars in partnership with Formula 1 team Williams F1.

The C-X75's ultra-light chassis and two electric engines will help it accelerate from nought to 60mph in three seconds.

With electric motors at the front and the four-cylinder engine powering the rear wheels the four-wheel drive supercar could have anywhere between 500 and 1000bhp available with correspondingly colossal performance.

so they're replacing the turbines charging the electric motors from the concept with a four cylinder driving the rear wheels? That's too bad, that turbine/electric drive system was easily the coolest part of the concept.

Well this car is good for daily driving, I don't think I'd want to track it however, the batteries definitely won't last 50 miles at full throttle, and I don't think that a 4 cylinder is capable of sustaining that sort of charge.

Let me guess the final product will just be an asthmatic 2 cylinder with a CrZ like battery system. They did it with the XJ220, its possible it will happen again.

Veyron Beater that claims will do 0-60mph in 3 secs.

While the Veyron does 0-100kmh (62mph) in 2.5secs.

And with what budget will Jaguar produce this rocket, they had to mount 1970s extendable antennas on their flagship Current XK Coupe/Cab for the first few years after it's launch.
