Radiation Detected On Japanese Cars Shipped To Chile
Customs agents in Chile have detected low levels of radioactivity in cars shipped from the Japanese port of Yokohama.

Chile says the radioactivity was found in 21 of nearly 2,500 cars that arrived in Iquique aboard the Hyundai 106 cargo ship.

About a hundred port workers have protested, saying their health was at risk.

lmao! Out of 2,500 cars they were only able to detect 21? That says two things. First, 1% of the cars had just barely enough radiation to be detected, which is many orders of magnitude less then how much radiation it takes to cause even minor long term radiation poisoning. Second, is something akin to this web comic. xkcd.com/882 lol, only they can claim that these cars are radiation free with over a 99% confidence level.

yes I would, radioactivity has been hyped to a point that makes no sense, for example, coal power plants produce more radioactivity then nuclear power plants. In other words, I would be getting a lot more radiation from other things in my life which is hardly any at all.

Most people don't realize there is radiation coming from rocks in there garden.... "RADIATION" isn't neccessarily bad. We all get radiation every day. It's the amount that counts.

Of course it is the thought that counts, not the practicality of the real issue at hand. If closer scrutiny finds anything else expect panic to ensue.

With Toyota's problems and this radiation I could see a decline in there auto industry, they should advertise how low it is on every car and compare it to a dentist X-ray to calm our fears, and if I were a dealer I would have a gauge at every dealer to quell any fears.

Sorry I want nothing to do with radiation, there are already a rise in cancer cases every year from just the natural amount of radiation we are exposed to along with other carcinogens.

Now, is that on the options list and for how much?
