Is The Nissan's Supercar-like GT-R Going To Age Like Sophia Loren Or A Wilting Flower?

Is The Nissan's Supercar-like GT-R Going To Age Like Sophia Loren Or A Wilting Flower?
There's no question that the Nissan GT-R is an absolute beast. It performs day in and day out on the track, and can hang with the best of them.

It even brought Porsche to its knees in its home country. Even if you despise Nissan's products you have to give the boys some credit for that.

With that said though, one weak point about the vehicle has been its styling. To me, I dig it and I get that it is meant to be subtle and about form over function. For others, it is considered drab and criticized for its large mouth. Then again, they probably didn't plant their foot into the throttle and feel the GT-R unleash fury -- that can change one's mind.

So, what's it going to be for the GT-R? Is it going to get better with age, much like Loren, OR is it going to wither like a flower and lose beauty over time?

Who care what everyone think, if I have the money I would buy the Nissan GT-R in a heart any day of the week. Because at the end of the day it you or owner who paying for it. The last generation Lambo Murcielago was an UGLY super car for sure but the owners didn't care and the MB C-class AMG63 as well.

pretty ignorant comment, this car is a monster and like 00R said, runs with the best of them... thers NO denying that. EVEN if ur comment had any semblance of truth which it does not, you arent even taking into account the price point and that of its competitors.

One hit wonder my ass, the GTR badge has been around since the 70's and has earned more than its fair share of respect.

Its pretty hard to compete when most racing bans all wheel drive. When the skyline generation competed, it dominated.

crcr you need to read more. Everything that the GTR can officially race in, it wins. It's not Nissans fault that its competition that uses fr cant make an awd system. It isnt Nissans fault that they are pretty much the best at making an ultimate sports car.

Profile is truly hideous in my opinion and looks worse and worse as time goes on to me.

Two comments:

1) A hideous exterior matching a equally hideous interior design

2) "brought Porsche to its knees in its home country" - Journalistic hyperbole. More accurate is the GTR's performance allows it to compete from a specs perspective with cars costing more money, which are significantly more elegant.

Don't forget it is a Japanese Supercar. The reason GT-R looks like it does is to reflect some Japanese style/art which i can see from GT-R's design. Offcourse it is a function over form design.
Like it for what it is. GT-R has been compared with almost every sports car on the market from hypercars to four doors like M5, Panamera but it is a direct competitor(like S class is to 7 Series type competition) to no sports car.

Great performance but will slide back slowly unless it proves itself in actual competition and styling improves. Beautiful girls with personality and accomplishments age gracefully and keep their appeal while beautiful girls who have nothing else to keep your interest fade away. Same with performance cars.

In 10 years the level of performance won't be so uncommon, but the ugliness will remain.

Don't be jealous Turbo, it makes you look worse that you already go here.

The GT-R will do fine over time. It will continue to evolve and reign supreme over the competition. Good job Nissan.

I imagine that as it has aged throughout the years that it will continue to age like Benjamin Button.

ain't it pointless to buy a performance car, if you can't use it cos you'll void your warranty?

it's an unreliable POS and Nissan's terms of conditions are the proof.

In order to age beautifully, don't you have to start beautiful?
