Laughable British Engineering ?

You Twit.

A lot of F1 Teams are based in UK for engineering and testing
Mercedes, Renault, Red Bull, McLaren & Williams to name a few.

Parts for Indy Cars are also designed in the UK

World Rally Championship Teams are also based in the UK.

The Engineering is not the problem, silly Politicians and inexperienced Business Leaders are the problem for British Manufacturers.

I'd make a crappy CEO. On my first day I'd announce that I wanted to keep the company the same size, and make fewer, better products.

You can imagine what the shareholders would think of that.

40? Is that a typo. I would think they are more likely to deliver 4. This means there will be 20 Jags and 20 Land Rover models by 2016?

By models I assume they mean variants and body styles. XF sedan, coupe, wagon, convertible - hi-po versions of all three. Small crossover, larger crossover - sports model of those. XJ sedan, coupe - hi-po versions of those. XK coupe, convertible - hi-po versions. XS coupe, sedan, convertible, wagon - hi-po versions of those and a two seater Jag.

I know those are not their plans but if you look at it that way, I just named 29 "models". 40 doesnt seem so far off when you look at it this way. Just my 2cents...
