Workers Sue GM And UAW For Not Getting Union Wages
General Motors employees in Ohio is suing the company and the United Auto Workers, alleging that GM has unfairly denied them full pay and benefits and the union has not fought for them.

Twenty-eight employees of GM's Lordstown, Ohio, factory say they have been improperly classified as temporary employees since being hired in October 2006. They were terminated in April 2007 and then brought back six months later. The workers were briefly paid the same wage as permanent employees, but the lawsuit argues they were reclassified as temporary workers in June 2008, a move that cut their pay by more than 40 percent.

"How about every tax payer in the USA not getting free insurance, fully paid retirement at 50 years old, tons of vacation "

- That sounds like every other country in the world but the U.S and maybe Japan. What’s wrong with what I just quoted above? Wouldn’t you like to get those benefits? Who benefits from taking away free insurance, fully paid retirement at 50 years old, and tons of vacation? The corporations do. Why do people fight for corporations and against their own best interests?

I guess they think deserve the wages even though they don't qualify any longer? Correct me if I am wrong, but don't most people know how much they are going to earn BEFORE they start?

If you have a problem with it, that is the time to speak up.

Perhaps those who hate the Big Bad Corporation should go out and start their own auto company then they could pay themselves whatever they wanted. Oh, but that would mean that they (the workers) would be responsible for making a profit in order to pay themselves a wage.

I guess it is easier to complain and about an evil corporation then to go out and start your own company.

Too bad we have become a nation of whiners instead of doer's.

Oh my good Lord! Why don't these Union workers get with reality? I think the only way to stop all these nonsense with these simpleton is for everyone who taxes were used to bailout the companies that these greedy bastards ran to bankruptcies from all of their outrages wage demands, sue them in return.
