SPIED: Hmm, What Do You Make Of THESE Angles Of The Upcoming BMW 3GT

SPIED: Hmm, What Do You Make Of THESE Angles Of The Upcoming BMW 3GT
Although I have eaten BMW crow before, I don't know if I will this time.

In the past couple of weeks, more information, rumors and speculation surrounding the upcoming 3-Series GT -- or 4-Series, as some have reported -- has made an appearance. In addition, MORE spy photographs than ever have popped up around the Web.

Artist renderings have depicted a sporty and edgy looking 3'er GT that had some panache. So, my hopes were high. Then I got a hold of some of the latest shots of the baby Gran Turismo and it is starting to look a bit chubby. Yes, I know the car has on heavy camouflage but I don't think it matters if that D-Pillar holds up.

If you look closely, this vehicle's shape is starting to get a bit peculiar, in my humble opinion. To put things in perspective, look at the wheels. They can't be smaller than 16 inches and they look TEENY.

Am I right or am I wrong?

What say you, Spies?

We're excited to bring you the first spy photos of the 3-series Gran Turismo (GT) which will be released with the next generation of 3-series vehicles. With a sleek fastback trunkline and frameless windows, the 3-series GT looks to be much lower and sleeker in shape than the 5-series GT and appears to be generally sportier in nature. The 3-series GT will offer a simple hatch function rather than the twin trunk arrangement on the 5er GT. Spotted here is a 6 cylinder turbo version (335i or 335d....

Whats the point of this car, when you can get a 3er wagon with more space.

"Practicality is not all about hauling stuff, but about fitting the buyer's needs. In theory, you could design a two-door with the same amount of space as a four-door, but that wouldn't make the two-door equally practical to all. In general, I don't care for cross-overs or convertibles, but I'm beginning to understand why some people find these vehicles practical. A very tall (and large) friend of mine and my wife hate my A4 because, they say, it's hard to get out of because it's so low. I have the feeling these cars exist because they provide car-like styling with more practical ingress and egress for people who have the need."-Allevier

the entire rear bumper and decklid are covered not only with swirly camo, but swirly camo on top of a fake plastic panel so you can't see the shape. And whatever little tiny wheels are on the car don't mean anything -- you know it's not coming to the states with anything smaller than 17's. It's probably also running an engine we won't get here. Big deal. BMW is targeting the A5 Sportback with the 3GT/4-Series/whatever they're calling it. It's not going to look like the 5GT.

The rear is very distorted with camo, but the front and the roofline look pretty good.

"Whats the point of this car" As designers in the auto industry say they are extroverted designs. For people who value style over function, same as the X6 and Mercedes CLS. They may not make sense to everyone, but they sell.

If you look at the World-wide sales of the 5 Series GT you will see it sells very well!! It's not All about the US.

To MB authority/manufacturere concern:

MB ML 350 SUV 2012 taking little new shape, but when and what more color options [prefers Barlo red color] be available to dealers?

Back liftgate-glass wiper location must be up concealed like Lexus RX 350[2011 model].

X6, 5GT and now this...seriously??? How can a maker of iconic cars like the 3/5 series and all the m's head in this direction. Sad day for BMW when they can barely give away the X6 and 5GT...even though they are "highly profitable" ventures.

Odd grotesque proportions. YUK! The rear-end reminds me of a fat chick’s rear-end that’s only being held together by the jeans.
