One common belief that is held by many folks that stumble across an unrestored item is that it has to be fixed right away. Even if that means hastily "repairing" the item and actually ruining it.
If you guys have seen the show Pawn Stars, you probably know what I am talking about right now.
Regardless, the most important thing you can do if you ever come across a barn find is to leave it alone.
