RUMOR: Mercedes Gave G-Wagon A FINAL Edition But "Insiders" Say Something Else Is On The Way

Now, it was only last week that news broke of a Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon Final Edition. And why shouldn't the G get a proper send off? Not only is it one of the brand's most iconic vehicles, it also is the most pure Benz product in the entire line up at this point.
The proof is in the pudding: shut the door of a G-Wagon and tell me that it isn't a Mercedes-Benz.
With that said, a new rumor comes as a bit of a shock. According to Autoblog.nl, Mercedes is said be producing a G65 AMG. For those of you who have driven the G, you probably already know that is a horrible idea; however, I wouldn't hate it. I am bias though, I couldn't possibly hate
any G creation.
Realistically speaking, the G doesn't drive so great and to put even more power in it is just absurd. But much like a 500 plus horsepower station wagon, I can't help but lust after the thought.
...Today, the most potent G-Class model is the G55 AMG fitted with a supercharged 5.5-liter V8 engine developing 507-horses and 700Nm (516 lb-ft) of peak torque for a 0-100km/h (62mph) in just 5.5 seconds and a limited top speed of 210 km/h. But that may soon change if we are to believe a report from Dutch website Autoblog.nl on a new range topping G-Class model with the G65 AMG moniker
