especially on the dash, really look neat and (finally) proper for >50K car..
I just wish they had improve the ol'push-rod, two-valves-per-cylinder engine spec.. adding a vvt-like will improve but not by a whole lot much..
I wonder if they put the engine displacement that can shut some of its cylinders out when cruising, just like the one they put in the sixteen.. that’ll improve the fuel consumption..
or better yet, I’ll cheer them if they opt for the hybrid version..

I like
(i.) the dashboard design
(ii.) the vertically stacked headlights

I don't like:
(i.) the leather on the seats - its too shiny - looks plastic
(ii.)the overall length of the vehicle

Very nice fit and finish from the pics, I hope those are real wood like the old Caddies from a decade ago. Lets hope the plastic treatments are solid unlike the Lexus'.

Is nice to see how MB's Pre-safe systems are adopted by various automakers, with the Lexus' PreCollision (or some name along those lines) and now the new Escalade has it as well (on page 2's indepth breakdown of the SUV) Goota love their OnStar as well. Now will it be offering infrared/radar and nightvision stuff? For a truck this big, they better have them.

The escalade has the best fuel economy in its class. And to answer your question, yes the escalade needs a 403-hp, 417 lb-ft torque, 6.2L engine. It makes escalade the fastest in its class, getting it to 60 mph in 6.5 seconds. In 2008 there will be a hybrid escalade for even better fuel efficiency.

Have you been in an escalade? Im gonna go ahead and assume that you haven't because if you did, you would notice that the escalade has the best interior out of all full-size lux suvs. The dashboard is actually a nice plastic, not as you said hard as nails. And the metal is real metal, it is not fake like some other luxury manufacturers, not mentioning any names. It is genuine steel and there are two different choices depending on interior color and wood trim selection.

There is not only 2 full size luxury suvs. Have you forgotten about the Infiniti QX56, the Range Rover, the Lexus LX 470, and the brand new MB GL450. High quality leather is shiny, if you were familiar with high-dollar cars you would know this. Audi, BMW, Bentley, Maserati, Mercedes-Benz, Maybach, Rolls-Royce, and Ferrari all have shiny leathers.

It does hit 60 in 6.5 seconds, okay. So you probably don't believe that the Dodge Ram SRT-10 hits 60 in 5.67 seconds. But if these two trucks were built in Germany, you would probably love them and you would probably agree that the escalade has a great interior.

Face the facts the escalade does 0-60 in 6.5 seconds. And by the way the escalade leather is very soft. I got my 07 escalade about a week ago and this I raced a cayenne s and embarrassed it terribly. So I just answered your question about people who race there escalades. I'd say the only thing wrong with the truck is it needs cross-drilled brakes for better ventalation.

The ferrari you had was probably a 1975 308 gt4. The Ferrari I have does have a shiny interior and is a super america. Ok so all these over $100,000 cars dont have high quality interior as you say. You also say they should be damn near perfect so they will just put crappy leather in them.
