Bmw i3 to cost $35k?
According to the latest media reports, it appears that the upcoming Bmw i3 (which will be sold under the newly created ā€˜i’ sub-brand) will carry a price tag of around $35,000. Moreover, Caranddriver confirms the fact that the new Bmw i3 will deliver 150 hp and a maximum range of 160 miles or 257 km.

That would be very competitively priced! And would have the best range/performance of any other EV on the market.

If it ends up costing $35k post incentives, it would be an amazing deal. Comparably priced with the Nissan Leaf and Chevy Volt, yet with the BMW/luxury badge and better range. I doubt it though, since the Volt already retails at ~$35k post-incentives, and BMW is using a lot of high-tech/expensive materials in the i3.
