my guess is that they will kill of the CL and call it an S class coupe, but essentially, it would be the same car

The demand must be from China and the Middle East. The only Americans I see driving this thing are from Texas, the Hamptons, Miami and Beverly Hills.

S class convertibles were popular in the 1920s, 1930s, 1940s, 1950s and even through the '60s up to the early 1980s (600 Pullman Laundaulet for instance).
