001 Snaps Shots Of The 2011 BMW 1M - They're So Good They'll Make You Go MmM
Last week, I had the chance to drive one of the approximate 800 2011 BMW 1Ms coming to the U.S. It was a really special event. Not because I had the chance to take the 1M on the track but because the 1M is a tremendously unique product.

In other words, it is entirely deserving of it's M nameplate. I went in as skeptical as ever yet BMW managed to make me a believer.

I'll put it to you this way: the M3 is irrelevant to me after driving the 1M.

No doubt it drives awesome, but still looks awkward.. pudgy disproportionate somehow.

For me the tail is conservative like my father Camry. The front bumper is messy, there are 7 inlets on the front.
The interior switches seem poor/cheap.
I've no doubt, it can be a good car. My modifications will be:
- Some plastic knobs replacement with polished aluminium. (power window switches, mirror adjuster)
- Replace the front and rear bumpers with the simplified less air inlets and outlets.
- Small (3/4") lip spoiler on tail.
- Black wheels and matt silver body colour
- Remove the chrome exhaust pipe-end, it is old fashioned.
- Install front foglight.

But still good car.

Every review I have read had nothing but positive feedback. Like the looks or not you cant find a better all around car for the price.
