Is This Why Gas Prices Are So High, Or Is There Another Factor At Play?
On May 3, 2011, the average gas price in Chicago was $4.44, a new record for the city and the highest average in the continental United States. If a Ford Excursion owner had filled his or her empty gas tank at the BP station at 775 W. Lawrence ($4.85 for regular), it would have cost $213.40.

The Libyans and Venezuelans pay lower than us as well, and they too are quite subsidised.

ROFL!!!
Here in the UK it costs A LITTLE MORE to fill up a BMW X5 with Diesel.
I think any political party that promises the UK same Petrol/Diesel prices as USA will win and stay in power for the next 100 years.
